The first international study visit was conducted in Spain and Portugal on 23-27 May 2022 within the scope of the International Study Visit Activity of the ROMSID Project.

Within the scope of the Empowering Women through Cooperatives Project, the first Local Stakeholder Meeting was held in Ankara on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, with nearly 200 participants. The opening speeches of the meeting were made by Nimet Kaleli, Deputy Head of the Training and Publication Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Gülser Ustaoğlu, General Director on the Status of Women at the Ministry of Family and Social Services, and Elif Nur Bozkurt Tandoğan, Deputy Governor of Ankara.

Wings for Life World Run 2022, which people run simultaneously all over the world in order to fund research for the treatment of paraplegia and to raise awareness on this issue, took place on 8 May in İzmir. The organisation, which serves a valuable purpose, was held with the participation of approximately 10 thousand people. We, as the WYG Türkiye family, ran for those who could not run in this event which we are happy to support.

MİSGEP is on the field to provide health survelliance to 10,000 mine employees. MİSGEP Mobile Occupational Health Vehicle continues providing health survelliance at “Bozdağ Coal Mining” with its expert staff and doctors.

A study visit was organised to Strasbourg, France, on 12-14 April 2022, within the scope of the Technical Assistance Project for Empowerment of the Role of Ombudsman in the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights.

Head of the European Union Delegation to Turkey Ambassador Mr. Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut and accompanying guests visited İstanbul Okan University to receive information about OPINA platform services and meet with the project executives and project team on 09 March 2022.

Within the Scope of the Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Component for Balıkesir Water and Sewerage Administration General Directorate/WUD and PIU "Financial Procedures, Strategic Financial Planning and Budgeting Training" was held on 15-16 March 2022.

The closing event of the Technical Assistance for Enhancement of TURKAK's Capacity in Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies was held on 08 March 2022 with a hybrid event in Ankara.

Third OPINA workshop was held online on 23 February 2022.

The Kick-Off Meeting for Technical Assistance for Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme has been held on 22.02.2022 at the premises of Republic of Türkiye, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Within the scope of the “Technical Assistance for Increasing the Policy-Making Capacity of Directorate General of International Labour Force” Project, of which the Directorate General of International Labour Force in the Ministry of Labour and Social Security is the Operation Beneficiary, and WYG Turkey is the consortium leader, the “Trainings on the EU/EU Member States policy on brain drain” activity under Intervention 1 Institutional Capacity Building – Trainings regarding Labour Migration Policies of EU/EU Member States was delivered successfully with the participation of staff of Directorate General of International Labour Force and Operation Coordination Unit members on February 15-16, 2022 at Ankara Point Hotel.

 

Within the scope of the “Technical Assistance for Increasing the Policy-Making Capacity of Directorate General of International Labour Force” Project, of which the Directorate General of International Labour Force in the Ministry of Labour and Social Security is the Operation Beneficiary, and WYG Turkey is the consortium leader, the 1^st Working Group Meeting was successfully completed on an online platform on February 3-4, 2022 under “Intervention 4.1: Support to Directorate General of International Labour Force for Policymaking” activity, with the participation of Operation Coordination Unit members, the representative of the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey, and the representatives of the key stakeholders and social partners of the Directorate General of International Labour Force.

Within the scope of the "Technical Assistance for Empowerment of the Role of Ombudsman Institution in the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights", the Regional Conference themed "Ombudsman Meets with the People of Manisa" was held on 27 January 2022 in Manisa.

2^nd Central Level Training Programme under the activity of Implementing Training Programmes of the ROMSID Project was completed on 05-07 January 2022 in Ankara with the participation of the representatives of the central institutions. The opening speeches of the training were made by Mr. Hulusi Gölpınar, the Head of Department of Social Inclusion of the Ministry of Family and Social Services General Directorate of Family and Community Services.

Info-Days on Accreditation for University Staff within the scope of the “Technical Assistance for Enhancement of TÜRKAK’s Capacity in Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies Project” were held in Ankara on 22-23 December 2021 as a hybrid event.    

The National Ombudsmanship Symposium on the Culture of Seeking Legal Remedies of the Youth was held on 21 December 2021 in Ankara within the scope of the "Technical Assistance for Empowerment of the Role of Ombudsman in the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights Project".

The Kick-off Meeting of the Empowering Women through Cooperatives Project held on December 14, 2021 in Ankara.

The Kick-off Meeting of our "Technical Assistance for Advanced Prototype Station (APS)" project, which will last 30 months and in which WYG Turkey is the consortium leader, was held on Tuesday, 14 December 2021 with the participation of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology, representatives of Eskişehir Technical University, consortium members, and the project team leader.

The Kick-off meeting for the "Technical Assistance and Supervision for Giresun Wastewater Project" led by WYG Türkiye was held on 07 December 2021, Tuesday, with the participation of the distinguished representatives from Turkish Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change, Delegation of the European Union to Turkey, Giresun Municipality, and the works contractors.

Within the scope of the Technical Assistance for Enhancement of TURKAK's Capacity in Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies, events for the World Accreditation Day and Good Laboratory Practices were held in Ankara in a hybrid format on 24-25 November 2021 with the contributions of experts and speakers from Turkey and abroad.
