The Kick-off Meeting of the Empowering Women through Cooperatives Project

The Kick-off Meeting of the Empowering Women through Cooperatives Project held on December 14, 2021 in Ankara. Opening speeches of the Kick-off Meeting were made with the participation of WYG Türkiye General Manager Dr. Faruk C. Tekindağ, MoLSS Director of EU and Financial Assistance Ms. Süreyya Erkan, Deputy Head of Delegation of the European Union to Turkey Mr. Angel Gutierrez Hidalgo, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Mr. Dr. Bekir Pakdemirli and Minister of Family and Social Services Ms. Derya Yanık.

The purpose of the Empowering Women through Cooperatives Project is to provide a suitable environment for the development of women's cooperatives. The project, whose Beneficiary Institution is the Directorate General on the Status of Women of the Ministry of Family and Social Services, and the Co-Beneficiary Institution is the Department of Training and Publication of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is being funded by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey.

As WYG Türkiye, in our new project, we will write new success stories for women to take an active role in all areas of life and increasing the level of welfare and development.
