Technical Assistance Project for Empowerment of the Role of Ombudsman in the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights

A study visit was organised to Strasbourg, France, on 12-14 April 2022, within the scope of the Technical Assistance Project for Empowerment of the Role of Ombudsman in the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights.

In the study visit programme, visits were made to institutions such as the Permanent Representation of Turkey to the Council of Europe, the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment , and the Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law. During the visits, the current status of the relations between the Council of Europe and Turkey, the work of the Ombudsman Institution, human rights and the rule of law were discussed, and the projects and works of the institutions and the OI were evaluated.
